Trump: "I'll Make Elon's Life Good"

For $45 million a month, you can really make a mentally diminished psychopath dance.

Trump: "I'll Make Elon's Life Good"

Many Tesla shareholders were rightly alarmed by the part of Trump's RNC Convention speech when he promised to "end the electric vehicle mandate on Day 1."

The concern was especially acute because Elon Musk, the company's CEO, has announced he is not only going "all-in on fascism" but he's also pledging $45 million a month to help get the anti-EV (but pro-electrocution) candidate elected.

On X, Elon is telling people not to worry about Trump's threats, on the assumption that: a) Trump will say whatever he needs to say to get elected; and b) Elon already has Trump in his pocket.

Yesterday morning, I tweeted a link to my recent "Musk's Marionette" article with the caption: "For $45 million a month, you can really make a mentally diminished psychopath dance."

Yesterday evening, at his rally in Michigan, Trump fact-checked that tweet and declared it: TRUE.

Taking a break from his bizarre—and newly extended—rants about sharks, electrocution and Hannibal Lecter, lavished praise on Elon, boasting that "Elon endorsed me the other day" and noting that he now "gives me $45 million a month."

What does Elon get in return?

In Trump's own words: "We have to make life good for our smart people... and he’s as smart as you get."

Musk (aka "Apartheid Clyde") is on a personal mission to reshape America. He's leading a "battle to the death with the anti-civilizational woke mind virus." As part of that battle, he's not just attacking journalism and sharing misinformation and conspiracy theories to his 190 million followers, he's actively bastardizing the news while routinely and aggressively amplifying many of X's most bigoted, extreme and outrageous voices, including self-described "theocratic fascist" Matt Walsh and stochastic terrorist Libs of TikTok.

These are the kinds of people Musk is allowing into his tiny information bubble.

And now he's bought his way into Trump's.

In his second term, Trump will leave the business of executing Project 2025 to J.D. Vance and the other "true believers."

Trump himself will simply be enjoying his immunity and pocketing the pay-to-play checks along the way.

As I wrote on Friday: The fact that Elon Musk will have a "Batphone" to a mentally feeble President with no core values who is willing to sell out America for personal gain should worry us all.
