Trafficked to Trump

Maxwell "introduced me to him with a clear message of my being with him in the same way that she had trafficked me to Jeffrey Epstein."

Trafficked to Trump

On 31 October 2025, Epstein survivor Anouska de Georgiou was interviewed by BBC Newsnight's Matt Chorley.

As I wrote here in February 2024, de Georgiou, a teenage British model, was groomed and raped by Epstein for years in the 1990s before being "introduced" to Trump by Ghislaine Maxwell in 1997, something that was reported at the time by the UK's Sunday Mirror.

In September 2025, de Georgiou joined other Epstein survivors on Capitol Hill, claiming publicly that she had been abused by Epstein and Maxwell for "ten years," indicating a timeline of that began before — and continued after — she was trafficked to Trump by Ghislaine Maxwell.

In her BBC interview, de Georgiou chose her words carefully when asked about Trump:

Matt Chorley: You met Donald Trump, is it right, through Ghislaine Maxwell?
Anouska de Georgiou: I did, yes. And I met him on several occasions. Uh, Ghislaine Maxwell did introduce me to him and she introduced me to him with a clear, er, with a clear message of my being with him in the same way that she had want—, that she had, uh, trafficked me and brought me to Jeffrey Epstein.

(You can watch that part of the conversation on YouTube here.)

Asked how Trump treated her, de Georgiou told the BBC:

Well, what I will say is, uh, in my case, and I can only speak for myself and this is in no way to negate any other experiences that anyone else might've had with him, but, at no time did President Trump behave with any impropriety to me.

De Georgiou, who met Trump when she was 20 and he was 51, has made similar comments in the past about the president, indicating that she perhaps may have viewed Trump more as a "Sugar Daddy" than a predator.

But her comments to the BBC hint that she does know more about the experiences that other Epstein survivors might have had with Trump.

As the Sunday Mirror wrote in 1997, de Georgiou, Trump and Maxwell "enjoyed a happy weekend together" at Mar-a-Lago, after which de Georgiou was "installed" in one of Trump's New York apartments.

Interestingly, the 1997 article also notes that, prior to trafficking de Georgiou to Trump, "Madam Maxwell" had already "introduced several of her attractive friends to the property developer."

Clearly, it seems, at least one UK tabloid was well aware as early as 1997 that Trump, as Epstein would write later, "knew about the girls."

1996 National Enquirer report of Trump's alleged assault on Jill Harth at Mar-a-Lago

By 1997, Trump had reason to be on his best behavior with de Georgiou.

In April 1997, Jill Harth, who had accused Trump of repeatedly sexually assaulting her at Mar-a-Lago in 1992 and 1993, filed a lawsuit in federal court demanding a jury trial.

In May 1997, Trump announced he was separating from his second wife Marla Maples.

By November 1997, Trump, an accused sexual predator with two failed marriages, was in need of some good press.

So it may be that Trump and Maxwell engineered his "happy weekend" at Mar-a-Lago with de Georgiou simply to create the kind of gossipy item that 1990s Trump not only craved but thrived on. And that the Sunday Mirror, previously owned by Ghislaine's by-then-deceased father Robert, obliged by giving Trump some friendly ink at a time when he needed it most.

In the Sunday Mirror's "wink-wink, say-no-more" 1997 version of events, Trump not only won a "British trophy," but also beat out "several American millionaires" to do it.

By 2019, however, it was a new era. In that year, UK tabloid The Sun wrote that de Georgiou's claims about Epstein illustrated how "the sick financier's cronies and enablers would turn a blind eye to his brazen abuse of vulnerable young girls."

Today, we know that Trump was more than simply a crony and enabler.

He was more than simply Jeffrey Epstein's best friend of 15 years.

He's someone to whom Ghislaine Maxwell directly trafficked young women, including at least one long-term Epstein victim.
