The Kamala Coalition

On November 5, Americans must unite to stop the steamroller of fascism—and consign Trumpism to the ash heap of history.

The Kamala Coalition

This election is a choice between serious leadership and vengeful impulsiveness. It is a choice between democracy and authoritarianism. Vice President Harris defends America’s democratic ideals, while former President Donald Trump endangers them.

So say more than 700 national security leaders and military officials in their September 22 open letter endorsing Kamala Harris.

This strong bipartisan endorsement—signed by 741 generals, admirals, cabinet secretaries, service secretaries, ambassadors, and other notables—also states:

Vice President Harris would make an excellent Commander-in-Chief, while Mr. Trump has proven he is not up to the job.

Harris is "prepared and strategic," these experts say, while the dictator-loving, ally-abusing Trump is "impulsive and ill-informed."

Mr. Trump is unfit to be Commander-in-Chief.... Our endorsement of Vice President Harris is an endorsement of freedom and an act of patriotism.

Harris represents freedom, patriotism, integrity

For every American who cares about democracy, who's willing to put country over party, and who knows how important it is to relegate Trump and Trumpism to the ash heap of history, Kamala Harris is the obvious—and only—choice in 2024.

"I think it’s also really important to say, for me at least, that I will also be voting for… Democrats in the House and the Senate too, just because I think it is so important that we get past this period of Donald Trump for America to begin healing"—Former Trump staffer Cassidy Hutchinson

The need to defend democracy is the key reason why a surprising list of prominent Republicans—including Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Jeff Flake, former George W. Bush AG Alberto Gonzales, and former federal judge Michael Luttig—have endorsed Harris.

It's why former Trump staffers including Cassidy Hutchinson, Olivia Troye, Anthony Scaramucci, Stephanie Grisham, and Omarosa have endorsed Harris. And why hundreds of former Bush, McCain, Romney—and Reagan—staffers have done the same.

Harris is the candidate of optimism—and opportunity

But saving democracy isn't the only reason big name endorsers are lining up behind Harris.

In September, more than 90 major business leaders—including current and former executives from major public companies across tech, media, and finance—offered a powerful endorsement of Harris, saying she would "advance fair and predictable policies that support the rule of law, stability, and a sound business environment, and she will strive to give every American the opportunity to pursue the American dream."

"Her election is the best way to support the continued strength, security and reliability of our democracy and economy"—Letter signed by James Murdoch, Laurene Powell Jobs, Mark Cuban, Peter Chernin, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Reed Hastings, Ken Chenault, and dozens more CEOs and business leaders

Goldman Sachs agrees with these CEOs that Kamala Harris would be better for the economy than a second go-round with Trump.

Also in agreement are the more than 400 economists who endorsed Harris in September, while warning against the Trump policy agenda, saying:

The choice in this election is clear. It is a choice between inequity, economic injustice, and uncertainty with Donald Trump or prosperity, opportunity, and stability with Kamala Harris.

Harris brings calm not chaos, sense not stupidity

If endorsements won elections, Harris would already have accumulated enough bipartisan big-hitters to make victory assured.

In addition, Harris has been publicly endorsed by some of America's most popular and influential celebrities and sports icons—including Taylor Swift, Oprah, George Clooney, Bruce Springsteen, John Legend, Billie Jean King, Magic Johnson and Steve Kerr, to name a few.

Most importantly, Harris's message is inspirational and inclusive enough to have energized millions of voters who might otherwise have sat out this year's election. While Trump plays to smaller and smaller crowds, the nationwide "Kamala Coalition" is proving that Democrats and democracy are offering America a truly big tent in 2024. And the Kamala Coalition still has room to grow.

But the billionaires funding fascism already have a lot of skin in the game—and won't give in easily.

There's only one month until Election Day.

It's time to brace ourselves for the lies, surprises and dirty tricks that still lie ahead.

It's time to dig deep, knock doors, make calls, write postcards, and make a voting plan for yourself and others.

Stopping the steamroller of fascism is still possible.

But only if the "Kamala Coalition" shows up on November 5th in numbers too big to question.
