2025: Humanoid robots begin working in warehouses, factories, even homes
2026: Artificial intelligence becomes able to do anything a human can do
2027: "World models" enable AI to interact with the real world—and solve problems within it
2028: Humanoid robots outnumber frontline workers in manufacturing, retail and logistics for the first time
2029: AI is "able to do what all humans can do combined"—Elon Musk
If you believe America's leading tech visionaries, rapid advancements will unfold over the next four years that will reshape the economy, redefine life on earth—and set the stage for a new age of interplanetary civilization.
We the people are not ready for what’s coming. And they know it.
Right now, before the general public and most politicians fully appreciate what’s happening, these tech leaders are hoping to set the rules (and lock-in the regulatory capture) that will not only entrench their power and multiply their personal wealth, but also give them incredible influence over humanity’s future.
While Christo-Fascists focus on the backward-looking Project 2025 agenda, America's tech titans will be battling to inherit—and rule—the world as it will exist in 2029.
Why Musk's competitors are all sucking up to Trump
Musk didn’t just make a big impact on US politics in 2024. He also established xAI as a leader in the industry.
After raising $12 billion in less than 12 months, xAI ended the year valued at $40 billion. Key backers included three countries with troubling human rights records: Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia (which previously helped fund "free speech absolutist" Musk’s Twitter purchase before sentencing an anonymous Twitter user to death for tweets).
As 2025 begins, Musk is a triple-threat to America’s top tech companies. He’s America’s shadow president-elect. He’s a confidant and/or business partner of many of the world’s most oppressive regimes. And he’s also a major player in AI with the access to shape the industry in ways that serve his business and his vicious “anti-woke” agenda.
Even as his tech rivals are desperately vying for a seat at the table, Musk has already embedded strategic allies within the Trump administration. Chief among them is David Sacks, the newly appointed "AI Czar." Sacks, a right-wing cryptocurrency enthusiast and a member of Musk's "PayPal Mafia," shares Musk’s South African roots and ideological leanings.
For the likes of Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Sam Altman and Tim Cook, the stakes could not be higher as the "Mump Regime" begins making AI-related decisions that will impact the world for years to come.
No wonder they are all scrambling to kiss Trump’s ring—and publicly making $1,000,000 donations to support the Trump inauguration.
We’re living in a terrifying timeline
In the first 25 years of this new millennium, tech companies stole our data, sucked our attention, created algorithms that allowed us to be more easily manipulated than at any time in history, and turned our brains to mush.
Even though the promise of social media—to connect people in new and meaningful ways—was never fully realized, Big Tech companies grew ever more powerful and their leaders and founders accumulated massive personal wealth.
Today, social media has created a world of misinformation, manipulation—and an epidemic of loneliness.
But the people who brought us here are not done yet.
These tech prophets have something new to sell.
They are promising us a heaven on earth if we just get out of their way.
After stealing all the "content" that writers, artists, photographers, scientists, and historians—and the rest of the internet—had to offer, they are ready for their next act.
AI's prophets are preaching the Gospel of Abundance
While they compete with each other for dominance, today’s tech billionaires are all selling a similar vision. They are promising us a world of abundance. A post-labor economy. A world where everything will be free. A world where humans will no longer have to struggle.
Elon Musk tells us that "AI will usher in an age of Abundance."
OpenAI's Sam Altman is also preaching the gospel of "Abundance."
Microsoft founder Bill Gates also foresees a "world of superabundance."
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff (who also owns of TIME Magazine, which just named Trump Person of the Year) is also evangelizing the good news about AI "Abundance."
And they're not the only ones.
Current leaders at Amazon, Google, Meta, and Microsoft are all equally committed to selling a transformational vision in which AI leads us to a world in which diseases are eradicated, prosperity is increased, and climate change is miraculously solved.
If not "Abundance," then "Doom"
For billions of people on Planet Earth, the consequences of the tech-related decisions soon to be made by the Mump Regime could be dire.
In 2023, Goldman Sachs predicted that AI would soon erase 300 million jobs.
And even as Elon Musk is promising us that AI will bring "abundance," he's also predicting that there will be "more humanoid robots than there are people" on Earth by 2040.
That's 10 billion robots.
And if abundance doesn't materialize, Elon admits there's a 10-20% chance of a "doom" scenario, which most define as extinction of humanity or our enslavement by the robots.
Elon insists he can save us from doom by developing an AI that is "maximally truth-seeking."
That's hardly reassuring.
Elon's own Grok AI admits that "Musk has been identified as one of the most significant spreaders of misinformation on X since he acquired the platform."
I can't predict the future.
But I know enough to say we can't trust Elon Musk with it.
If we ever wake up in a world filled with robots programmed to believe Musk's version of "maximum truth," that world is on a fast track to doom.
For all the evils of Big Tech, with "The Intelligence Age" coming at us fast, we need anyone but Elon to ensure that powerful AI is also fair AI—not an AI that mirrors Musk's warped vision of the world.
So while it's maddening to watch Musk's tech rivals kissing Trump's ring right now, it's easy to see why they would: Because to achieve Superintelligence tomorrow, they need the support of President Stupid today.
