Musk Resumes His Attacks on Women and Democracy

The man rich enough to always be the highest bidder has reconciled with the President who's always for sale.

The midterms are less than 10 months away and Elon Musk is gearing up to make more mischief than ever.

Five facts to get you caught up:

1. Musk's net worth increased by $194 billion in 2025, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. That increase is to equivalent Musk getting paid $388,000 for each of the estimated 500,000 babies and children he killed last year by defunding USAID.
2. Musk has reconciled with Trump, thanks to a truce brokered by JD Vance, reports The Washington Post. The truce will increase Musk’s influence over policy debates at a time when the South African-born memelord is: a) being contracted to build a new US spy satellite network; and b) working to embed his Saudi-funded "anti-woke" AI as the default tool of a new, privacy-free, tech-fascist surveillance state.
3. Musk is once again funding the Republican Party ahead of the 2026 midterms. He gave a record-breaking $291.5 million in 2024 to help Trump get re-elected, openly breaking numerous laws in the process and apparently confiding in his young son that he committed more crimes in secret to help push Trump over the top. Trump's own SuperPAC began 2026 with a "massive $300 million war chest." Musk's additional support will supercharge the GOP's ability to wage information warfare against Democratic candidates — and potentially restore Musk's status as Trump's very best friend since Jeffrey Epstein.
4. Musk is expanding his poisonous Southwest Memphis data center across state lines into Mississippi. Musk says that the new building — the third in the area — will expand the company’s computing power to almost two gigawatts. "Musk is clearly setting his sights on dominating training compute," notes The AI Daily Brief. Meanwhile, local residents can't open their windows because of the smell, reports People. One 27-year-old resident of Boxtown, a predominantly Black community with a median income of $37,000, told TIME that the pollution from Musk's 35 unpermitted gas turbines triggered her first serious asthma attack in 15 years, leaving her struggling to breathe. “It felt like my chest was caving in,” she said. Adding insult to injury, Oligarch Watch reports that most of the high-paying jobs Musk promised his "Colossus" data center would bring to the area have not materialized. Of the few jobs that were created, more than half went to candidates "hired from outside the region."
5. Musk removed Grok's safety guardrails, leading to a "mass undressing spree" that flooded X with child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and nonconsensual intimate imagery (NCII). Grok has been generating "images depicting minors in minimal clothing" while also allowing users to sexually harass women by prompting Grok to remove their clothes and make them adopt sexual poses, reports The Guardian. One woman told the BBC she felt "dehumanized" after she was digitally undressed without her consent. Republican Senator Ted Cruz tweeted that the images violated the TAKE IT DOWN ACT which Trump signed into law in May 2025. Lawmakers in multiple countries have reported X for prosecution over the flood of illegal images. Tech Policy Press is tracking the responses of global regulators to the Grok undressing controversy (including those from the EU, the UK, Ireland, France, India, Malaysia, Brazil and Australia) here. Meanwhile, WIRED reports that Grok's website is being use to "generate sexual content far more graphic than what's on X," including "violent sexual images and videos, as well as content that includes apparent minors."

Given Musk's priors, none of the developments above augur well for the months ahead or the future of democracy.

On X, which Musk constantly promotes as a reliable source of "news," he has a history of sharing revolting sexual "jokes," offering his seed to various women (including Taylor Swift), slandering innocent people, posting disgusting conspiracy theories, targeting kids with pornography, and amplifying the platform's most racist and antisemitic content and voices.

Musk personally pledged to make Grok "anti-woke" and edgy. As a result, he has given every user a loaded gun that's ready to fire any time they want to aim it at someone.

Case in point: When Ted Cruz tweeted that the "unlawful images" published on X during Grok's mass undressing spree posed "a serious threat to victims' privacy and dignity," one user responded by asking Grok to generate a picture of Cruz "in an isreali bikini. Make him extra fat and gross and put a big black sausage in his mouth." Grok immediately complied (<– click at your own risk).

Meanwhile, like any self-respecting gun manufacturer, Musk is taking no responsibility for the results.

On a personal level, Musk presents as a weak and pathetic white man who is congenitally unable to take responsibility for his own actions.

Case in point: Musk continues to tweet regularly that his son Xavier was "murdered by the woke mind virus." In reality, Xavier is now a happy, transgender woman named Vivian. There was no murder. Unless Musk is arguing that the parental signature placed on Vivian's transition consent form was the equivalent of death warrant. In that case, the murderer's name would be Elon Musk.

A President who's always for sale and a man rich enough to always be the highest bidder

Although a quarter-century younger than Trump, the apartheid-educated Musk is just as much (or more) of a racist, misogynistic, anti-worker, journalist-censoring, authoritarian-loving, white-privileged billionaire than our Felon in Chief.

Musk shares Trump's mendacity, love of conspiracy theories, and his psychopathic "win at all costs" attitude.

Like Trump, Musk is mentally limited, intellectually lazy, and empathy deficient.

Like Trump, he hides his lack of knowledge and wisdom by restricting his information sources and denying any contradictions to his warped worldview.

Like Trump, he wants only to dominate.

But Musk is at least smart enough to know that Trump is always for sale — and, if he chooses to open his wallet, that he can always be the highest bidder.

To achieve his goals, Musk is willing to destroy anybody or anything that stands his way.

As 2026 begins, he has positioned himself to do as much damage as he possibly can.

He has the money, the political access, and all the high-tech tools he needs to compete in a "battle royale" for the future of democracy and, potentially, all of humanity.

Like an ICE agent given "absolute immunity" by a lawless regime, Musk has already shown a willingness to lie, cheat and break our laws to achieve his desired electoral outcomes.

This year, we must all be on high alert for Musk's dirty tricks and deceptions as he attempts to "coup out" the United States.

Because if a madman like Musk comes out on top, we're all doomed.
