If you've been reading this newsletter all year, you already know how Trump's economic mismanagement, unrelenting corruption, and embrace of union-busting, transhumanist "broligarchs" have set the stage for the next Trump crash.
From February:
It only took three weeks, but Trump's policies and rhetoric are already threatening to turn the "Biden Boom" into a "Trump Tailspin."
From March:
Everything is now in place if a psychopathic president, in league with power-hungry oligarchs, ever wanted to trigger a national crisis, crash the dollar, declare martial law, and cancel all future elections.
From April:
Trump has already caused the worst farm crisis since the first Trump administration. And his tariffs aren't bringing jobs back to the USA. Case in point: Apple just announced it will be moving assembly of iPhones for the US market out of China... to India.
From May:
America has become a kleptocracy.... Consumers are nervous. Shortages are looming. Small business owners are panicking. Millions of jobs hang in the balance.
From June:
Trump’s new policy of relentless AI accelerationism... is already putting the future of millions, particularly younger and entry-level workers, at risk.... Across multiple industries, job opportunities are drying up. Long-planned career paths are turning into dead-ends.
From July:
The job market is deteriorating fast. If employers are not already firing, they've definitely stopped hiring.
From August:
Six months into Trump 2.0 and the only people celebrating a New Golden Age are billionaires and tech bros. For the rest of us, the only things that are looking up under Trump are prices — and the unemployment rate.
From September:
Trump is already creating an economic crisis that no amount of Truth Social propaganda or White House data manipulation can hide. The worse danger comes when "Psychopath Trump" decides the only way he can stay in power is by creating an even bigger disaster.
From October:
Nine months ago, Donald Trump inherited an economy that was "the envy of the world." Today, that economy is a disaster.
From November:
The jobs crisis that started early in Trump's second presidency has already moved beyond the "disaster" stage. It's become a catastrophe.... And things are still getting worse.
Now it's December. And that bad news keeps coming.
Today (12/4), CNBC reports that corporate layoffs surged 54% in the first 11 months of 2025 to 1.17 million, the highest level since Trump oversaw the worst response to the Covid pandemic of any major economy.
Yesterday (12/3), the latest ADP report showed that November private payrolls unexpectedly fell by 32,000, led by steep small business job cuts. As CNBC noted: "establishments with fewer than 50 saw a decline of 120,000."
On Tuesday (12/2), we began hearing about the December layoffs being announced by a range of companies from tech to healthcare to insurance to retail, including bellwether names like Meta and Starbucks.
The Trump jobs catastrophe is coming against a backdrop of a worsening affordability crisis, surging healthcare costs, declining retail sales growth, plunging consumer confidence, and a growing consumer debt crisis.
Less than a year into what is shaping up as a truly disastrous second term, Trump hasn't just torn down the East Wing of the White House. He's also demolished the US economy.
