Everyone Hates Elon

Musk could have used his wealth for good. Instead he chose evil. He deserves all the booing, protesting, ridicule, and public shaming he gets.

Everyone Hates Elon

If there’s one thing most people agree on in 2025: we hate Elon Musk.

After snarfing up billions in taxpayers subsidies and capitalizing on the ideas and sweat of others, Musk emerged from the pandemic years as the world's richest man.

Then he showed us his true colors.

Turns out he doesn't just play a racist, sexist, homophobic, misinformation-spreading, Nazi-lover on Twitter.

That's who he really is.

Musk could be using his vast wealth to make the world a better place. Instead, he's investing his cash and energy to recreate the kind of racial segregation and social oppression he benefitted from in his apartheid-educated youth.

Two months before the last election, Musk endorsed the idea that "Democracy" should be replaced by a "Republic of high-status-males" based on the notion that "only high T Alpha males and aneurotypical people... are actively free to parse new information with an objective 'is this true?' filter."

Then he spent more money—and broke more election laws—than anyone in history to turn his vision board into reality.

Since Trump's win, Musk has dedicated himself to destroying America from within, helping Nazis in Germany, and far-right extremists in the UK.

All of which has left him less time than necessary to figure out why his massive space rockets keep blowing up.

Americans Hate Elon

In the US, the "Tesla Takedown" movement which originated on X competitor Bluesky has led to protests at Tesla dealerships across America.

The movement's website urges citizens to: "Sell your Teslas. Dump your stock. Stop Musk now."

As the movement continues to grow, Reuters reports that activists are now using the 'Tesla Takedown' protests to fight job cuts by Musk and Trump.

On March 3, The New York Times reported that Tesla owners in the US and Europe are experiencing severe buyer's remorse at being associated with the now-toxic brand. One London owner paid hundreds of pounds to get out of his loathsome lease. Many US Teslas are now adorned with stickers claiming “I bought this before Elon went crazy." A Massachusetts doctor who used a Tesla Cybertruck to promote his practice has been met with so much abuse he plans to sell the vehicle.

Europeans Hate Elon

Musk has pissed off citizens and consumers in every region of the world.

In the UK, the activist group “Everyone Hates Elon“ has honed a message that resonates across Europe and beyond.

The group used a bus shelter in Bethnal Green in East London to display a poster showing Elon Musk delivering a Nazi salute from the roof of a Tesla with the message: “Goes from 0 to 1939 in 3 seconds." The fake advertisement was attributed to "Tesla: The Swasticar."

The poster quickly went viral. Among those who shared it on social media was author Stephen King.

The group followed up with a bus shelter ad telling X users: "DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT. If the bar lets Nazis in, it's a Nazi bar."

Everyone Hates Elon, which is raising money on GoFundMe, has also plastered ‘Don’t Buy a Swasticar’ stickers across hundreds of Teslas in London.

Australians Hate Elon

On February 16, Australia's ABC News reported on new research that measured Australians' "intense dislike" for Elon Musk.

Researcher David Talbot told the network that Musk's reputation in Australia has taken a beating, with nearly 60% of Australians having an unfavorable view. "We'll have to wait and see whether these negative views impact on consumer behavior, but sentiment this strong suggests some brand damage for Musk's business ventures in the Australian market."

On March 5, Futurism reported on just how "catastrophic" the brand damage had become for Tesla.

Even alongside the massive Tesla sales slumps that had already been reported in Germany, China, France and greater Scandinavia, "Tesla's nosedive" in Australia was "disastrous."

Australian Tesla sales plunged 70% in February — more than double an "already agonizing" 33% drop in January, which was the company's worst performance since 2022.

Wall Street Hates Elon, Too

As CNN reported on March 6, Tesla's global sales are imploding:

While electric vehicle sales in Europe shot up 34% overall in January, sales of Teslas plummeted 50%. Tesla’s sales fell 29% in China, the company’s second largest market after the United States.

Not surprisingly, the company's stock price has plunged 45% from its December peak.

Since Trump took office and Musk began his "American Chainsaw Massacre," Tesla shares are down a whopping 38%.

"I think this could be the year the Tesla’s shares finally collapse," one analyst told CNN.

The backlash against Elon's extremist politics, combined with his connection to Trump trade policies that even The Wall Street Journal describe as the "dumbest" in history, mean the world is now rejecting all things Musk.

Mexico's richest man Carlos Slim responded to an insulting Musk tweet by cancelling a planned partnership with Starlink:

Within minutes of the post, Slim canceled all collaborations with Starlink in Latin America, causing Musk to lose an estimated $7 billion.

In Canada, Ontario premier Doug Ford announced he was ripping up the province's $100 million contract with Starlink: "It’s done, it’s gone," said Ford.

Hitting Elon Where It Hurts

For those counting, Elon is now $121 billion poorer since his net worth hit a post-election peak of $464 billion.

And while it's easy to imagine the biggest pain he may be feeling right now is caused by the dramatic slide in Tesla stock, it's quite possible his global unpopularity upsets Elon even more.

Because while his ketamine addiction and his fake video game scores may make him think he rules the world, the flip side to that is that he still needs to be loved.

This, after all, is the same guy who had a breakdown after getting booed at a Dave Chappelle show in December 2022. Who reportedly "got to a point where he locked himself in his office and was so upset" that Twitter employees feared he would hurt himself, and considered calling the SFPD to do a wellness check.

But more booing, more protesting, more ridicule, and more public shaming are exactly what he deserves.

Elon Musk could have used his wealth for good.

Instead he chose the path of evil.

Today, he's not only the world's richest man.

He also the world's most hated.
