Elon's Battle Royale

Musk doesn't just want to establish "digital totalitarianism" in America. He wants to make it impossible to uninstall.

Elon's Battle Royale

On 9 February 2025, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman warned that one of the most likely results of the rapid development of AI—and the rapidly approaching era of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence)—was that we would see:

AI being used by authoritarian governments to control their population through mass surveillance and loss of autonomy.

The alternative, one that Altman frequently espouses, would be to use AGI to create a global trend "more towards individual empowerment."

One day later, on 10 February 2025, Elon Musk launched a hostile bid to take control of OpenAI, best known as the creator of ChatGPT.

Altman rejected the idea. Musk called him a "swindler."

The Musk-Altman Feud

This could be viewed as just the latest round in the ongoing fight between Musk and Altman in which, reports CNN:

Musk first sued OpenAI in... 2024, but he dropped that initial lawsuit after the company published a blog post that included several of Musk’s emails from OpenAI’s early days. The emails appeared to show Musk acknowledging the need for the company to make large sums of money... in contrast to the claims in his lawsuit that OpenAI was wrongly pursuing profit.
Musk filed a new lawsuit in August 2024 and accused OpenAI of racing to develop powerful “artificial general intelligence” technology to “maximize profits.”

As CNN reported previously, the emails OpenAI released in 2024 exposed Musk as a liar in his claims that he was trying to heroically save the company and restore its original non-profit mission.

In reality:

Musk, in a February 1, 2018, email, told company executives that the only path forward for OpenAI was for Tesla, his electric car company, to buy it.

Musk's latest salvo comes just three weeks after President Trump publicly anointed Sam Altman as "by far the leading expert in AI" when announcing the $500 billion Stargate project.

Musk's contention that he cares about OpenAI's non-profit mission to benefit humanity is also belied by his actions—poisoning Black people in his race to build a massive data center to help his own xAI company compete with OpenAI.

Elon's Winner-Take-All Worldview

Elon's bid to take control of OpenAI comes as the world's richest video game cheat is trying to win an actual "Battle Royale" for global domination.

(Musk thinks the real world is a video game, so we shouldn't be surprised he cheats in life as much as he does in Path of Exile 2.)

His attack on OpenAI—one day after Altman's blog warning about authoritarians using AI to control populations—comes precisely at the moment Trump is succeeding at what Rachel Maddow calls "autocratic breakthrough."

Meanwhile, Musk is literally taking control of all our government data and computer systems and taking steps to (as I have warned for months), "install technologies to centralize the workings of a new authoritarian state."

On 6 February Gizmodo reported that:

Elon Musk’s team of Stasi programmers at DOGE are feeding highly sensitive data from the Department of Education through artificial intelligence tools, according to an extremely predictable, yet still shocking, report from the Washington Post. The plan, according to the Post, is for DOGE to do the same thing at every federal agency.
The DOGE goons are reportedly using Microsoft’s cloud computing service Azure to sift through the data at the Department of Education, which includes personally identifiable information for those who manage grants at the agency, as well as “sensitive internal financial data.” The Post cites two unnamed sources who aren’t identified for “fear of retaliation.”

It likely irks Musk that he has to work with Microsoft to do this, especially as the company is a major investor and partner with Altman's OpenAI.

But to Musk, data is everything. He'll do whatever it takes to get his hands on any and all data that will give him more power and more of a competitive edge.

Owning all the data is why he wants to make X the "everything app." And why he wants to get his hands on all of the US government's data before anyone stops him.

The Goal: Dismantle American Government from Inside

As Nerd Reich author Gil Duran explains in this new 5-minute You Tube video, what looks like chaos "aligns perfectly" with a long-held plan for Silicon Valley's tech fascists to dismantle our government from the inside, control how people think about government—and keep power for the long term.

Right now, Elon and his band of racist hacker criminals are creating a national security nightmare, which Axios warns "can open the door for China, Russia, and other adversaries to infiltrate critical U.S. systems."

As his actions make clear, Elon is less worried about stopping America's enemies from stealing all our data than he is about stopping OpenAI.

He doesn't just want to control the tech takeover of America. He wants to lock-in his new "anti-woke" AI surveillance systems—and propel America toward the kind of "digital totalitarianism" that's impossible for any of his competitors to uninstall.
