Elon the Bully

Elon Musk thinks "Alpha Males" prove how tough they are by punching down—even when their blows land on their own kids.

Understandably, many parents in America today are worried about what the future holds for their children and grandchildren.

Even before Trump's win, Republican-led states have experienced a massive increase in bullying, with school hate crimes targeting LGBTQ+ kids rising especially sharply.

And the online world is just as toxic.

As Melania Trump once reminded us, cyberbullying on social media is especially "destructive and harmful."

For most parents, this is a time to "Be Best"

Even as they process their own reactions to the election outcome, parents across America are being especially sensitive to their children's confusion and sadness.

Author Jodi Picoult posted about "finding joy" in visiting her daughter and son-in-law—and the need to keep fighting for the rights of her baby granddaughter.

One parent, however, is taking a different tack.

Elon Musk, the world's richest man and America's new Rasputin, took time out of his day Thursday to remind us all what a truly bad dad he is.

When the New York Post tweeted a story about Musk's estranged daughter Vivian announcing her plans to possibly leave the USA, notorious Malaysian troll Ian Miles Cheong joined the chat, insisting that the Post should call her Elon's "son."

Musk himself couldn't resist adding his own reply: "The woke mind virus killed my son."

As the algorithm-manipulating owner of X, Musk knew his repugnant reply would be widely seen and discussed. But that's par for the course for his still-living child Vivian Jenna Wilson, now 20, who has been "relentlessy harassed" and repeatedly deadnamed by her radicalized father for years.

If there was hope that her dad's tone would change after the election, that's clearly not happening.

What's left out of Elon's telling is, of course, the truth

If you only read his tweets or his vicious interviews on the topic, you'd think that Elon who had a child who went to school one morning and came home a different gender.

That's what he (or Trump) might want you to think.

In reality, the rich and powerful Elon Musk—a man so big and strong he talks to Putin on a regular basis—met with Vivian and personally reviewed and signed the papers to authorize her transgender-related medical treatment.

"He was not tricked," Vivian recently told NBC News.

The fact that Elon is too pathetic to stand by his daughter—or take ownership of his fully informed parenting decision—may be a sign of how little love he has in his heart. Or possibly it shows how easily he can be influenced by the extremist Silicon Valley bros he likes to hang out with.

Even as others in MAGA world are gleefully announcing that Project 2025 really is the plan, Elon is personally modeling what that plan will look like.

It's an America where "Alpha Males" throw their weight around (whether women like it or not)—and demonstrate how tough they are by punching down, even when their blows are landing on their own kids.
