Elon Has Already Won

His goal was never "government efficiency." It was making tech fascism impossible to un-install.

Many people are taking great delight in Elon Musk‘s current business and political woes. And he does have many woes.

As Chinese EV manufacturers have accelerated past Tesla in global markets, Musk continues to miss his promised delivery dates for self-driving cars, robotaxis, and the mythical $25,000 self-driving Tesla that he claimed in 2020 would be on the road by 2023.

And while Tesla's products are falling behind, Musk's politics are killing the company's brand.

Amid global protests at Musk's Nazi ways, Tesla’s first quarter was a disaster, with net income plunging 71%. 

When markets closed on April 22, Tesla stock was down 41% YTD. Musk's personal net worth has fallen more than $100 billion from its December 2024 peak.

Elon's lost more wealth than he's delivered in DOGE savings

For the past three months, Elon and his unvetted DOGE kids have been running amok within the US government, nominally chasing the "big hairy audacious goal" of eliminating $2 trillion of government spending.

But the so-called "efficiency" effort — undermined daily by Musk's litany of lies, bluster and accounting errors — has been an abysmal failure.

So far, Elon has delivered only about 3% of his target – $63 billion.

Within the Trump administration, Elon is seen as both an obnoxious asshole and a growing source of embarrassment.

The whole world now sees Elon as a whiner—and a creep

In just a matter of weeks, Elon has gone from giving Nazi salutes and telling Joe Rogan "the fundamental weakness of Western civilization is empathy" to presenting as a whiny and deflated sadsack on TV while, reports The Wall Street Journal, also sending unsolicited DMs to multiple women on X with offers to impregnate them.

Musk continues to weaken his personal brand by spreading misinformation, insults, hate—and racist pseudo-science—on one of the world's biggest social media platforms, which he also happens to control.

He has been exposed by his own words and actions as a pathetic and unworthy human being. A bully. A cheat. A poisoner.

But despite all his wealth and power—and all he's done to create his own personal information bubble—Elon’s still wounded, he claims, by all the liberal abuse and slander against him.

But Elon is winning the only war he cares about

Ever since he realized he'd fathered a transgender daughter, Musk has been on a singular mission.

"This is a battle to the death with the anti-civilizational woke mind virus," announced Elon Musk in a tweet to his more than 177 million X followers on 20 March 2024.

And in order to kill the woke mind virus — and restore white male supremacy — he'll use any means necessary. He will spend unlimited amounts of cash to do it. He will lie, cheat and manipulate to do it. He will partner with the most vile scum of the Earth to do it. He will destroy America to do it. He will kill us all if he has to.

When Musk bought Twitter in 2022, his biggest outside investor was Saudi Arabia. Part of that deal gave the Saudis "special access to confidential company information." Soon after, the Saudis sentenced an anonymous Twitter user with 10 followers to death.

As Musk grew xAI rapidly in 2024, Saudi Arabia, along with the Qatar Investment Authority and the Oman Investment Authority, threw more money at him.

When Musk merged X (formerly Twitter) into xAI in March 2025, Saudi Arabian investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal tweeted that his companies were the second-largest investors in the new xAI: "the value of our investments is expected to reach between $4-$5 billion... and the meter is running."

Less than two weeks later, Reuters reported that Musk had "heavily deployed" xAI's Saudi-backed Grok chatbot within US government systems to snoop on federal workers.

Experts have described Grok as "racist technology in action."

No one knows if the Saudis will have "special access to confidential company information" from xAI now that Musk has installed it inside the US government.

But we do know that Musk snuck the "biased AF" Grok into the US government as brazenly as he slides into the DMs of female MAGA influencers. There were no competitive bids—and the normal government procurement process was completely bypassed.

Elon is making tech fascism impossible to un-install

As I wrote in February:

Musk is working fast to infect the U.S. government with "anti-woke" AI and surveillance technologies that are powered by his twisted, racist, misogynistic, drug-fueled, anti-regulation, anti-labor worldview—and will be impossible to un-install.

As he executed this plan, Elon successfully distracted the media — and our late-night comedians — with his clownish behavior, his Oval Office wardrobe choices, his fake "wall of receipts."

Today, the world views Elon as a loser and his activities at DOGE as a failure. He's already telling Tesla investors his time spent at DOGE is about to "drop significantly."

But time will likely show that Elon has won the war he's really been waging.

Three elements of his "Dark MAGA" mission are already clear: 1) build a master database to help rid the United States of as many non-white immigrants as possible; 2) sentence millions of non-white mothers and babies to die of hunger and disease in the world's most impoverished nations; and 3) repopulate America with white babies ASAP.

But there's a lot we don't know—a lot we may never full understand.

• How much control does Musk now have over the Treasury's mainframe or the workings of the Social Security Administration?
• How much data and code has Musk already exfiltrated? Or cached in xAI development clusters? Or shared with Russia?
• How much has Musk fused the systems of the US government to his own proprietary technologies?
• How easy will it be for Elon and his DOGE hackers to remotely exact revenge on enemies by marking them as "dead" or by messing with their tax data?
• How dependent will the Trump administration be on Musk's companies — or Peter Thiel's Palantir — for future "tech support"?
• How will the data Musk now controls help him defeat his competitors and dominate the future?

The optimistic view that many pundits offer is that we can start to repair some of the damage just as soon the Democrats win back the House and maybe even the Senate in 2026.

The reality may be that it's already too late. That Elon has already succeeded in his mission. That there will be no more elections.
